Where's My Teeth? - Grammy’s Make Me Feel Old
Dec. 5, 2008 – I remember when the Grammy’s meant something to me. When I actually cheered in front of the TV when someone, I cared about, won a trophy. Last year I endured a pretentious Alicia Keys singing with a very dead Frank Sinatra and Beyonce, who I barely consider an actual musician, trying to make the Tina Turner tribute all about her. More

New York Dolls Reuniting with Todd Rundgren
Nov. 16, 2008 – It’s been 36 years since Todd Rundgren and a little known band called the New York Dolls recorded their classic self titled debut album. The project featuring classics like ‘Personality Crisis,’  ‘Trash,’ ‘Jet Boy’ and ‘Private World,’ actually stretched the boundaries of music via their mix of Rock, Punk and Glam. Fan and critics had a love/hate relationship with the Dolls however, Creem magazine polls landed them wins as the best and the worst new group of 1973. Rundgren has also gone on record as saying he barely did anything to the record, it sort of produced itself.

The recording will start on the island of Kauai in January 2009 and original Dolls founding members, David Johansen (vocals) and Sylvain Sylvain (guitar, vocals) will be on hand.

Johansen says, "We're really excited to be working with Todd again, we're hoping to recapture the same magic on the forthcoming album."

The bands old label Atco has been resurrected just for the occasion. The New York Dolls plan to tour in the latter part of 2009 after the albums release. – by Sheryl Duncan
