Eagles Announce ‘An Evening With’ Fall Tour – Will You Go?

The band is being very cautious here. They have heard from the fans and trust me they will certainly heard the, “It’s not the eagles without Glenn Frey” complaints to not without Don Felder, Bernie Leadon or Randy Meisner.

The new line up with Deacon Frey, Glenn’s son and Vince Gill showcased the Classic East and Wests shows in New York, L.A. And Seattle along with Don Henley, Timothy B Schmit and Joe Walsh who was inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame over the weekend with drummer Joe Vitale and bassist Kenny Passarelli world-renowned studio Caribou Ranch, and Dan fogelberg.

The new dates are called “An Evening With The Eagles” and so far there are only 4 concerts on the way:

October 17 – Greensboro, NC @ Greensboro Coliseum

October 20 – Atlanta, GA @ Philips Arena

October 24 – Louisville, KY @ KFC Yum! Center

October 27 – Detroit, MI @ Little Caesars Arena

They are all arena dates but Joe Walsh thinks the band will trim it down to smaller venues in the future. He told Rolling Stone Magazine, “I don’t think we’ll ever tour again, but I think we’ll do six shows a year, something like that,”

“We’ve got some new blood. We all know the songs pretty good, but we just have to run the drill,” the guitarist said. “It’s like being an athlete and doing the reps to get into shape. The new guys [Deacon Frey and Gill] have to get to the point where it’s automatic or it’s transparent.”

Maybe we’ll actually have Vince Gill shred the guitar in the future. Watching him at the last few shows was like watching a Porsche driving backwards at 5 Kilometres. – by John Beaudin
