Peter Gabriel and Sting Plan Month Long “Rock, Paper, Scissors” Summer Tour Together

peter_gabriel_stingFans don’t know what to expect from Sting and Peter Gabriel’s summer tour but one things for sure – it will be amazing. The pair just announced their 19-date tour that will start June 21st at Columbus, Ohio’s Nationwide Arena and close in Edmonton, Alberta on July 24th.

The cool thing about the shows is they will perform their own and each others songs. Interestingly the pair have not toured together since the 80’s on the amnesty international tour.

“What intrigues me is that you get a good bunch of musicians together and interesting things will happen,” Gabriel said. Added Sting, “I’m very happy that we’re taking the chance to experiment this way. I think people will be intrigued, I certainly am.”

Sting has fond memories of doing a similar tour with Paul Simon a few years ago. “We traded songs, we traded musicians, we sang together. And the take home that people got from that was they loved it when we did things together,” Sting said. – by John Beaudin
