There’s No More Genesis But We Still Have Steve Hackett: Tour Dates Announced

There’s No More Genesis But We Still Have Steve Hackett
As we hear the rumours of a Phil Collins tour to be announced any day now his former guitarist has just announced 17+ UK dates for next year on a new version of his Genesis Revisited tour. Let’s no forget that he was there from 1971’s Nursery Cryme until 1977’s live album “Seconds Out.” Hackett’s last full studio project with Genesis was ‘Wind & Wuthering’ from the year before and it will be 40-years old this December 17th.

Hackett plans on celebrating the anniversary with this next tour. The band consists of keyboardist Roger King, drummer and percussionist Gary O’Toole, saxophonist and flautist Rob Townsend, bassist Nick Beggs and vocalist Nad Sylvan.

Also expect Genesis/Peter Gabriel era classics like ‘The Musical Box’ from 1971’s ‘Nursery Cryme, ‘Anyway” from 1974’s ‘The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway’ (the last Genesis album for Gabriel) and the Phil Collins’ era tune, ‘Inside and Out,’ from the 1977 EP ‘Spot the Pigeon,’ which was originally going to be on ‘Wind & Wuthering.’

Hackett says: “I’m excited to bring my latest show involving a new set of Genesis and Hackett numbers to the UK in 2017.”

Hackett also plans a new album for 2017 – his follow up to ‘Wolflight.’ by John Beaudin

Tickets will be on sale on Friday 7th October at 10am from and venue box offices.
