Will Steve Perry Perform With Journey At Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Ceremony?
First TMZ reported that Steve Perry would come up on stage tonight and sing at their Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction but now, word is, it’s not going to happen. That’s according to reps of the Hall of Fame, Steve Perry and Journey. This was something all fans really wanted.
Perry joined Journey in late 1977 and was first featured on the “Infinity” Album in 1978. His last album with the band was “Trial By Fire” in 1996.
This week Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain had said that he doubted that Perry would sing with them. Cain also said that he wished band’s current lead singer Arnel Pineda would be inducted. Some longtime Journey fans might think that a tad insulting and ignorant. He added that Pineda was one of the reasons they were being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame?
Guitarist Neal Schon revealed the songs Journey will play during the ceremony – “Lights,” from 1978”s “Infinity,” “Separate Ways”from 1983’s Frontiers and 1981’s “Don’t Stop Believin.'” from their biggest album“Escape.”
Perry who is 68 has also been working on a solo album.
